Our concert, A Stop on the Underground Railroad, aims to recognize the brave actions that took place at the Town Clock Church. We wish to honor the enslaved men, women and children who came through here on their courageous journey to freedom, as well as the townspeople and parishioners who operated this escape route. The music for this concert reflects themes of loneliness, deliverance, and hope in the midst of terrible circumstances. The program also includes several navigation songs that offered instructions and guidance to those wishing to escape.
We hope to see you there!
